What I’m eating, loving, inspired by, and swooning over this week—————————————————
01. Eating //
Have you ever had a dish at a restaurant that you just can’t stop thinking about? For me, right now, that dish is the Pizzette at Ci Siamo. It’s a super simple, yet packed with flavor dish — a fluffy in the center, crispy on the edges focaccia with a thin layer of garlic-y tomato sauce on it, and of course a sprinkling of crunchy flake salt. A few weeks ago, we made Alison Roman’s focaccia pizza recipe, and I was super happy that it reminded me of that Pizzette! It just had that same quality of being a super simple but satisfying focaccia. ANYWAYS! We made that pizza again last night, and it’s just so satisfying. It also yields a ton of leftovers! Make it, if you haven’t!
This coming weekend, we’re visiting Annapolis for a wedding, and have reservations at Flamant for Friday night. It looks really creative and has great reviews. Let me know if there are any other spots we should visit while there!
02. Loving //
HOT TAKE on daylight savings time: I love it. There’s just something so romantic and cozy about the sun setting earlier, marking the changing of seasons and signaling that it’s time to settle into the evening. I love the unique shadows cast in this season, and the way the soft late afternoon light pours in. It probably helps that I’m able to work from home, where I’m around large windows all day and not in a secluded office space. Call me creepy, but I don’t miss the extra hour of daylight 🤷🏻♀️
03. Inspired By //
Thanks to the internet powers that be, I recently stumbled upon the gorgeous LES Collection, a gallery of stunning and unique art pieces, objects, and designed goods from around the world. Curated by Lauren Sands, the brand’s Instagram account is overflowing with beautiful neutral and modern shapes, creative styling, and show stopping textures. Definitely eyeing a few pieces!
04. Swooning Over //
Recipe developer and cookbook author Molly Baz recently launched her own wine brand, and I can’t wait to try it! Drink This Wine is spot on for the quirky and casual brand aesthetic that Molly has built. It’s dubbed as a chillable red-ish wine, with notes of cherry, raspberry, and cedar. I’ve been LOVING light, juicy reds lately, and I think this one will be perfect for having around the Thanksgiving table.
